Seeking what is pleasing to the Lord. - Ephesians 5:10
Theme for 2007 (archive): Think on these things: Taking every thought captive to have the mind of Christ. (Philippians 4:8)
Here you will find the audio files archives for the Sunday pulpit lessons of the Seneca church of Christ. As we believe the Bible contains the God-breathed word, we strive to use it as it was intended- to teach, correct, rebuke, and train in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). Our sermons require an open eye, open Bible, and most importantly an open heart to be effective as they strive to offer nothing but the Word of God as that which can change our lives for the better.
Our theme this year involves helping the Christian bring focus, purpose, and hope into life. When we get caught up in looking and thinking about the wrong things, we are pulled away from our God. When we begin to see and percieve things in the wrong way, we become misguided. When we forget the meaning that this life is supposed to poses because we focus on the here and now, we lose our hope. It is our goal through the lessons this year to show us what the Christian should be dwelling on, and how we should view the world around us. In four different categories we hope to change our viewpoint to be more like Christ's (Philippians 2:5): Renewing, Evangelizing, Abstaining, and Focusing. Each month we spend a week on these subjects, drawing us closer to our Creator and more in tune with His will. We hope that as you listen to our online sermons you, too, can be closer to God.
The links below take you to audio files that you may click on and download. They contain sermons from the Sunday morning worship service and Sunday evening Bible study, listed by date and title. May you be blessed as a hearer, and please let us know how else we may help you. If you would like to request a free CD of any of these lessons, or inquire about sermons on other topics and Scriptures, email the address at the top of the page. Unless otherwise noted, all lessons were delivered by the pulpit preacher, Adam Richardson. Most files are larger (approx. 3 Mb), especially for dial-up connections, so please allow time for downloading.
(Note: compression problems with earlier files seem to be fixed with these uploads. NEW AUDIO FILES COMING SOON. NOTE: Sermons from June, 2007 through October, 2007 will not be available due to software issues. Others will become available in the future as we upgrade this software. We hope to remedy this soon, but in the meantime you may request Power Point outlines of the sermons by emailing the address below.)
