Our Elders
Welcome to the Elders' Page of the Seneca church of Christ. We are a family that believes God is real-- and not far from each of us (Acts 17:27). Because he loved us enough to send His only Son (John 3:16), we gather together here to worship Him and study to learn how we might be more like Him (John 4:24).
The elders of the church of Christ are leaders in this pursuit. Paul told Titus there should be appointed "elders in every city" (Titus 1:5), and then gave specific qualities of the character of such men. By reading Acts 20:17-28 we learn that these elders are the shepherds (or pastors- the Greek word is the same) of the church. And our church is blessed by God with fine leaders. Our elders are all gentlemen of good standing in this church and in the community (I Timothy 3:7). They are devoted family men (I Timothy 3:4) and provide vital leadership in all areas of worship and teaching (Titus 1:9).
